destined for big or small screen

Didn't know what to expect going in, but so glad i gambled on it. this was meant to be my weekend book, but i finished it today! Great characters, particularly Cat. They all felt a bit stock at first but they totally grew on me. it's light reading, to be sure but it's a funny, thrilling ride (definate pg turner). Think Shopaholic or Sex and the City with adventure added in - think caper, she's a jewel theif who frequents Starbucks and has boy problems. nice to have a female protagonist in a caper novelfor a change - the more i read the more i pictured as a movie or as a tv series.
Anyone know when the next book in the series is due out?

Adrenaline-pumping crime novel

Cat Montgomery, the Seattle cat burglar with a strong ethical code is a memorable character. Busy, improbable zany plot with many loony threads--but still a highly entertaining. Nice touch--with a tilt o' the hat to John Robie. Cat is a female version of Cary Grant, cat burglar extraordinaire in To Catch a Thief, meets the looniness of the Pink Panther, with a chaser of The da Vinci Code. A great weekend read guaranteed to pump up your adrenaline levels.
Well written debut novel. Fast-paced dialogue. Lovely bits: "Stars dazzled in a tuxedo sky...." And then the author had to go and spoil it all by writing something stupid like "ajar of mayonnaise." Proofread, please!

Fabulous!

I absolutely enjoyed the heck out of this book! There were several times when I laughed and hooted out loud like a maniac. There were also many times when I threw my hands over my eyes and cringed with either frustration or irritation at the predicaments Cat kept getting herself into. At one point, my husband asked me why I was talking TO my iPad. I had to explain to him that I was reading an excellent story, and that I could not help groaning, laughing, or shouting, "Hah! Take that!" to several characters in the book. My husband just shook his head at me and then ignored me after that. I say read this and see if you do not have the same reactions. It is a great and fun adventure!
