About the Author
Professor Josh Pryor earned his PhD in Literature and Creative Writing at the University of Southern California and is currently a member of the English faculty at Saddleback College in Mission Viejo, California. His deep fascination with the natural world and cutting edge science is evident in much of his work, including the nationally recognized novel Monkey in the Middle. Though primarily a fiction writer, it is the complex nature of reality and humankind’s role in the universe that holds for him the greatest intrigue. In his spare time, Josh extensively researches alternative theories in cryptozoology, history, evolution, and technology. Currently, Josh is researching a book of historical fiction chronicling the life and work of famed occultist, Aleister Crowley, of whom he is a direct descendant.

Couldn't Put It Down

Despite not normally drawn to this "sci-fi/mystery" genre of reading, I was referred to this book by friends and therefore decided to give it a read. To my surprise and delight, I literally could not stop reading until finished. I found the story captivating, characters were richly developed and it seemed the "facts" that supported the story line were deeply researched. Waiting for the movie.

An Outstanding Book!

I loved this book. I have a fairly large family and an extensive work schedule and normally don't have very much time to myself to sit and enjoy a book. When I started reading Fade to Black, I actually changed my work schedule to fit more reading time into my day. I was hard pressed to put this book down. My first thought when I finished was "what else has this man written and where can I buy it"!
This book has a wonderful blend of science fiction and action. You can tell the author put a lot of research into the science part and then develop it into a story that you can actually see happening not only in the future but the present as well. The character development is strong and as I progressed through the book I was able to really relate to certain individuals and through the story, strongly dislike others. I have read a lot of books in my day and I strongly recommend that you give this book a chance, you will be very glad you did.

Sci-Fi and Sexual Tension

Beautifully written novel with twists and turns keeps you on edge through this ice cold thriller. With all puns aside, this book perfectly combines CSI, cannibalism and spreading viruses. If you're looking for a good mix between sci-fi and sexual tension take a look at Fade to Black.
