First of all, it is very nice to see that Mr.Wetzstein published the second edition of his book as I hade became disappointed that such a well-written book would get out of print.
This is an intermediate text book based on intuitive explanation with the right amount of calculus. In fact, before reading the high level of graduate microeconomics books (Mas-Colell, Varian etc.) one would better to read such kind of books so that he or she can comprehend the basics and get some intuitive reasoning of microeconomic theory. Only then, the heavy calculus based texts start to make sense.
One of the favorable feature of this text is that it contains lots of solved examples, graphical representations, and a few derivative, a significant learning tool in micro studies. Particulary, the "missing markets" chapters are well explained, very interesting, and became cautionary as the world is in the midst of economic crisis due to the failing of free markets or misinterpretation of free markets.
In brief, I think microeconomics is a very exiting field of economics, and Mr.Wetzstein exactly achieved to explain an important topics of this field with an intermediate approach.
