A sound book with concrete topics relevant to our society today

The article by Waters presents an argument that conveys state-of-the-art research as well as theological insights; the book attempts to bring the reader to an understanding of the technology that absorbs our lives and inflict us pain and suffering. For years we have understood that technology is a a good thing and yet we are becoming slaves of it. The main topic of the book in regard to technologies is that of bio- and nano-technologies that aim to study the physical essence of the human being, i.e., stem cells or embryos.
The author, however, gives the reader hope in Jesus Christ; he presents a brief theological review at most chapters so that the reader can see the perspective of God on all these matters. Waters provides us with the necessary tools for self-questioning, and walks the reader to a self-understanding of the reality of the self, as an image of God. The author concludes by presenting a future that is promising, yet painful and full of suffering that can be endured if we live under God.
