About the Author
Daniel M. Bell Jr. (Ph.D., Duke University) is professor of theological ethics at Lutheran Theological Southern Seminary in Columbia, South Carolina. He has worked extensively with both retired and active duty military personnel on the just war tradition. Bell is an ordained elder in the United Methodist Church and the author of Liberation Theology after the End of History.

Just War

Bell clearly addresses the issues surrounding Christian approaches to war and violence, with an excellent historical background. But, I feel he fails to offer much of an answer to so many of the problems facing a true disciple of Jesus in confronting violence. A good source for a study of the issues.
