Really enjoying following the girls as their story unfolds

A great reminder of the horrors inflicted on fellow humans and what many went through for America and the world to become a more understanding, caring and welcoming place for those who look different from others. A wonderful example of how the human spirit can overcome such darkness and press on in the face of mounting obstacles. A beautiful depiction of unity in a broken world.

Where there is a will -there is a way

I'm sure most of us don't know the hardships after the civil was. Black and white struggled with a life that was completely changed. As we begin to recognize them, it makes our live seem so simple. Author is to be commended for writing such a detailed description of their story.

This was another good read, there were some parts that surprised me- in a good way of course. I hate to tell all about the book because it may ruin the book for others. If interested in civil war type books I encourage you to read the series.
