No one knows the Acadia trails like Earl Brechlin!

I LOVE this little hiking book. The descriptions are great and the maps show exactly what you need. I am a map geek and like to use this book in conjunction with an island size map just so I have "the big picture," but this little book will give you what you need to know. I still have my old 1996 version and like to put the date next to all the trails I've hiked. Mr. Brechlin hasn't failed me yet!

Better maps, please!

this is a greatly needed and highly useful book, but it is very difficult for this reader to follow the text (in one place) and the rudimentary maps (which are somewhere else.) I do not find this current edition to be worth its price, but hope the authors and publishers will correct this fault. I do hike in Acadia regularly and live in MidCoast Maine, so I would happily support a better guide.
